Lord of the Rings
One of the best things about a Graphic Design course? Most of the time, we can "customise" our assignments and mesh things we like with the given brief.
For example. Need to write a long essay discussing semiotics in advertising? Do it on hair straighteners (I wrote mine on ghd advertising last year)! Designing a typeface and have an interest in stars and constellations? Do this! And so on.
So for my newest assignment, which is to create an Information Graphic, I have chosen—The Lord of the Rings! Yes, peoples! My research is to watch/read Lord of the Rings and map out the Fellowship's journey, attacks, major events, interesting quotes, deaths, and meeting new characters! Let's see how this goes, eh!?

Spilt Milk Opening Night
Hi all! Just wanted to write out a quick update that the Spilt Milk opening was great (it was my first ever exhibition!), and I sold quite a bit of my work too! I should put the photos on here so y'all can see :)
Do check Spilt Milk out if you haven't done so!

Spilt Milk!
What an unusual title, you might be thinking.
Spilt Milk! is an exhibition I'm co-curating with the Youth Art Committee. The opening is on May 17th, 5pm-7pm, and the exhibition will be cash-and-carry, featuring works of young artists (and I am so excited to be one of them!).
The exhibition will run from the 18th-28th of May at Artstation, 1 Ponsonby Road, Auckland.
If you're in Auckland at that time, come and take a look! :) Here's our facebook event page.
OH, and thank you, Release Me Creations, for following :)

Mental Disorder Posters
Posters on Mental Disorders, by Graphic Patrick. I like the minimal style, and how easy it communicates the message!
I'm just itching to straighten that little white square!

Yulia Brodskaya
I found Yulia Brodskaya's beautiful+detailed quilling while reading a book on paper crafts. And I am completely blown over by her patience and talent! I've never tried my hand at quilling, but I want to try it out now! Check out more of her inspiring work at her website.
