Tutorial - easy corsage brooch

My first-ever tutorial! Don't forget to click on the images to see them better!

Yup, these are the flowers that I bought the other day at Spotlight. If you want an extra challenge, you can of course make them yourself. [I'm also going to be doing a tutorial on making a brooch from scratch :) ]

Oh, and I'd tied a knot to the stem just to make sure the petals didn't come undone.

To make it extra sturdy, I cut a cardboard circle, chalked a bigger sized circle on a piece of black fabric, and stuck the fabric on the cardboard.

Snip the flower stem, stick the base that you just made, and attach a brooch pin with strong glue. Leave the brooch to dry! Mine is still drying. :)

And voila! Super cute corsage brooches!!

Hope you have an amazing day, and keep on blogging!

p.s.: Have you guys realised how many people have birthdays in October? I know so many that do!

New feature!

It's not that big ... actually, as you might've noticed, I'm a stickler for proper spelling ... so I thought, why not have a new feature on the blog? So now I do ... aaaaaaaand it's called:

*drumroll please*

Word of the Day!

*applause*

Thank you, thank you. Let me explain: So I start a post each day with a big, yellowish title, right? And end it with, well, labels. You know, bleh

From now on, I'll be posting a Word of the Day at the end of each post. So you and I learn a bit of vocabulary.

On that happishly wordly note, let me introduce you to [if you haven't already been introduced] Free Rice! What it does, is it asks you a multiple-choice question. Sort of like a quiz at school. You answer it. Each right answer you click donates 10 grains of rice to people in need. You learn your words, and feed people at the same time! I think that it's the awesomest. Don't you?

Please let me know what you think of my new feature.

Today's Word of the Day:
Orography (noun): The branch of physical geography dealing with mountains.

p.s.: Er, no, "happishly" is not a real word. Neither is "wordly".

I was having some fun over at Orisinal. Take a look at this freshly picked bunch of flowers. True, they're virtual. But still:

M. E. A. H. S. for Stephanie

Hey everyone. Today's upload is for a fellow blogger, Stephanie. She regularly comments on my blog, and as a special thanks for reading my blog, I've created a poster for her and her besties, the M. E. A. H. S.

Hope you like it, Stephanie! Let me know if M. E. A. H. liked it as well, okay? Oh, and let me know if it's getting pixelated, and if it is, I'll post a pdf version.
